Terrace Hill has secured detailed planning consent for its major redevelopment proposals to extend, refurbish and reconfigure Bristol Bridge House, its city centre office building on Redcliff Street, Bristol.
The existing property, which benefits from the visibility and presence of its dual-frontage to Bristol's Floating Harbour and Redcliffe Street, is positioned in a prime waterside location in the heart of the city's business district.
Bristol City Council has granted plans to extend the building's net internal area from 38,000 sq.ft (3,530 sq,m) to 53,000 sq.ft (4,924 sq.m) and reconfigure its core to provide larger floor plates which are now seen as a 'must have' for modern businesses. The structure of the elevation fronting The Floating Harbour will be retained and enhanced whilst the Redcliff Street facade is to be rebuilt around a new entrance reception.
The building was purchased by Terrace Hill from Morely Fund Management in March 2007 and is expected to achieve prime city rents upon practical completion.
