Quality Supermarket Planned For Helston
10th April, 2008
An outline planning application for a new 55,000 sq ft supermarket has been submitted to Kerrier District Council, Cornwall, by Terrace Hill.
It is proposed to build the supermarket on five acres of land next to the Flambards Experience to the south of Helston. The development is expected to create more than 200 jobs.
Terrace Hill, working with Flambards Experience, is keen to provide shoppers with an alternative choice in Helston, where currently the only major superstore is Tesco.
The development will also allow Flambards to expand and create a new access to the Flambards Experience, which would alleviate traffic problems in the vicinity of the site.
